Why Did I Join?

Cooper Tyler
Vice President of Recruitment

"Joining a fraternity provides numerous benefits for men. It offers a sense of belonging and fosters lifelong friendships within a close-knit brotherhood.

Additionally, fraternity membership often cultivates teamwork and leadership skills, encouraging individuals to take on important roles both within the organization and the broader community.

Finally, fraternities promote personal growth by providing opportunities for personal and professional development, expanding social networks, and instilling values of service and camaraderie."

Why Join an IFC Fraternity?

Belonging & Brotherhood

“Brotherhood is more than just a group of friends; it’s more of an extension of your family that will always be there for you. They are always checking in on how you are handling school, work life, or just whatever you have going on, they will help you get through it.”

Wyatt Lucas, Alpha Gamma Rho

“When I first heard that joining a fraternity would provide me with the brotherhood everyone talked about, I didn’t really believe it or think too much into it. Now that I have been here for two years, I know they were right”

Commitment & Success

CURRENT PRESIDENT NATE PITTMAN AND PAST PRESIDENT CAMERON ELDER OF CHI PSI FRATERNITY AT FSL AWARDS DURING THE SPRING 2021 SEMESTER.

“Being part of a fraternity is a big commitment, and making sure you’re ready for it is a large part of joining. Staying committed to not only your obligations in your fraternity, but also your academic and personal life is very important. Finding a healthy balance of all three is extremely important. Once you can obtain that balance, I believe success will follow”

Justin Rose, Delta Tau Delta

“Coming into college, I was looking for an organization that would benefit my career aspirations, while also granting me the opportunity to serve and give back to the community. I found all of that in my fraternity.”
